Michigan's Little Bavaria celebrates the Christmas spirit year around. This Midwest destination offers charming ambiance and joyful holiday events.

Frankenmuth is known as "Michigan's Little Bavaria." The Michigan city has retained its German character from the original German immigrants that settled there. Frankenmuth is a city that attracts more that three million visitors annually. The Christmas season is the most popular time to visit Frankenmuth, MI.

Christmas is a wonderful season to visit the charming Bavarian style city. Indeed, Frankenmuth enjoys the Christmas spirit all year long. The charming city, with Bavarian style buildings is home to Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, the famous year around Christmas store.

Frankenmuth celebrates the holiday season with joyful festivities. Following are some of the highlights to be found in Frankenmuth this holiday season.

Annual Holiday Celebration and Candlewalk The celebration is on November 23 at 6:00 pm. The celebrations include music by local choirs and the reading of the Christmas Gospel and the singing of Christmas carols. Then the candle-walk procession begins. About 2,000 people are expected to participate in this celebration which begins the festive, joyous holiday season

Frankenmuth Farmers Market Friday, November 23 to Sunday, November 25. The German Market will be located behind the Village Store.

Frankenmuth Holiday Home Tour December 1, is a tour of five area homes with are decorated with delightful Christmas decorations. Tickets $15.

German Heritage Song Fest at St. Lorenze presented by the Frankenmuth German Club on Sunday, December 2 at 3 pm

The Living Nativity on Friday, December 7 through Sunday, December 9, recreates the night of the birth of baby Jesus. Experience paying taxes, walking through the marketplace and finding no room at the inn. The Living Nativity is at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland a year around Xmas store.

Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland. Bronner's is famous as a year around Christmas store. At Bronner's, the birth of Christ is celebrated all year long. The family run store is the size of 5.5 football fields. Everything Christmas can be found at Bronners, including ornaments, lights, trees, outdoor decor, nativity scenes, Christmas stockings, garlands, wreaths, Advent Calendars, Santa suits, Santa hats and accessories.

Festive Bronners features special Christmas events and Santa visits throughout December. Bronners is a terrific place to find Christmas items and the celebrate the Christmas season.

Bronner's Silent Night Chapel. The Silent Night Memorial Chapel is located on the premises of Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland. The chapel is a replica of the Silent Night Memorial Chapel in Oberndorf Austria. The sounds of the popular Christmas hymn, "Silent Night" can be heard outside and inside the chapel. The Chapel is topped by a brilliant gold star and is illuminated at night. On December 24 there is a Silent Night singalong at the beautiful Silent Night Chapel. The peaceful Christmas Eve assembly is a joyful way to remember why we celebrate the Christmas Season.

Frankenmuth, MI about a three hour drive from Chicago. There are charming hotels and restaurants in Frankenmuth. The Bavarian style city is an excellent weekend getaway destination.

German Christmas Markets called Christkindlmarkt are celebrated throughout Germany during the advent season.
