New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights for hotels. Many hotels offer special packages that include a New Year’s Eve celebration as well as luxurious overnight accommodations. The Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City - The cost for this package is $258 to $301 per couple depending upon your room choice. The package includes: overnight accommodations and dinner for two and admission to a country countdown party with musical entertainment, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.
The Amway Grand in Grand Rapids - The cost for this package is only $154 per couple, a great deal for this hotel. This package includes: overnight accommodations for two and admission to an island theme New Year’s Eve Party with a cash bar, door prizes and musical entertainment.
The Holiday Inn Ann Arbor (near the University of Michigan campus) - This package costs $199 per couple and includes: overnight accommodations for two on an adult only floor, a basket of goodies upon arrival, one free in-room movie, a bottle of champagne for toasting, room service breakfast for two, and a $35 credit toward dinner. This hotel offers another package as well at the rate of $169 per couple. This package includes: overnight accommodations for two and admission to a New Year’s Eve party with a disc jockey, hors d’oeuvres, 3 drink tickets per person, party favors, a champagne toast and a balloon drop at midnight.
The Kingsley House Bed & Breakfast Inn in the Fennville/Saugatuck area. The inn refers to this package as their New Year’s Murder Mystery Event. The cost for this package is $179 per couple, per night (based upon a three night stay). The festivities run from Saturday, 12/29 through New Year‘s Day. The Murder Mystery Package includes: overnight accommodations for two, a holiday gift upon arrival, dinner on Saturday night, a 5-course dinner and Murder Mystery event on Sunday night, admission to a New Year’s Eve celebration on Monday evening, a view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks over Saugatuck harbor, a late night chocolate buffet and a hot gourmet breakfast each morning.
