The Courtyard by Marriott is a good lodging choice for visitors to the Lansing area. Located on Lake Lansing Road just off of highway 127, both East Lansing and downtown Lansing are within a short drive and easy to get to from the hotel.

The layout of the rooms is similar to those of most Courtyards. There is a bathroom, closet and separate sink area just off the entrance. Each room comes standard with either two full size or one king bed, working desk with executive chair, large dresser and pull out sofa bed.

Amenities offered at the Courtyard Lansing are similar to that of most mid-scale hotels. These include:
- High speed wireless internet access.
- Swimming pool and hot tub. The hot tub and swimming pool are in separate rooms. Although this can be nice for more privacy, it is really inconvenient and a nuisance during the colder months.
- Fitness room with treadmill, weight training and other equipment. Guests can enjoy cable television and complimentary water during workouts.
- Hot breakfast served in the dining room (for a fee). Nonetheless, with so many eateries nearby, it's just as convenient and economical to eat out.

Visitors to the area can get to most popular venues within minutes from the hotel. The hotel is:
- Less than five miles from the airport.
- Less than five miles from Michigan State University.
- Just over three miles from Oldsmobile Park, the State Capitol Building and downtown Lansing.
- Less than ten miles from Okemos, Bath and Dewitt, Michigan.
The staff at the Courtyard Lansing are to be commended. They are extremely warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job of keeping the entire facility clean. In addition to very clean rooms, the pool area, hallways, fitness room and lobby are also exceptionally clean.
There are several restaurants and shopping venues within walking distance of the hotel (although it is difficult to walk as there are no sidewalks in this area). These include the Michigan State University Hall of Fame Café, Wal-mart, Max & Erma’s Restaurant, Eastwood Mall, Champs Restaurant and Bar, Meijer and Sam’s Club.
Room rates at the Courtyard Lansing typically run somewhere between $110-$130.
